# StandWithUkraine: Support for Refugees from Ukraine
In the face of the humanitarian crisis affecting Ukraine, solidarity and support from around the world take on a special significance. We are proud to announce the exceptional success of our initiative, which brings real aid to those who need it most.
Our horizont Rolos warehouse has received 12 pallets of donations, which were provided by horizont in Korbach, Germany.

All the donated items are the result of the joint efforts of many people—both organizations and individuals. The collection drive in Korbach yielded essential supplies intended to support children, adults, and those affected by the conflict. The donations include not only non-perishable food but also essential items for children, such as diapers and clothing. Additionally, the organization provided wheelchairs, oxygen tanks, cleaning supplies, toiletries, blankets, sleeping bags, and pillows. All these donations are an expression of compassion and a desire to help those who have fled the war.
Steffen Mueller, Managing Director of Horizont Group GmbH, emphasizes the importance of cooperation within the group of companies: “In discussions with the managing directors of Horizont companies across Europe, we exchanged ideas and considered how we, as a group of companies, could respond and help. This is how the aid campaign in Korbach came about, involving companies and stores from Germany as well as private individuals.”
Some of the donations were delivered to the partner Pilgrim House at the Father Orione Center in Brańszczyk, where 54 refugees, including 30 children, are currently staying. The first shipment of essential supplies was organized by Horizont Rolos employees as early as the beginning of March, when the first Ukrainians arrived at the facility. This swift response shows how important solidarity is in difficult times.
Both large organizations and individual donors can make a difference in the lives of people in need. Every bit of help, regardless of its form, is of immense importance. It is important to remember that in crisis situations, it is not only the speed of action that counts, but also mutual emotional and spiritual support.
