Training for the Municipal Association of Cattle Breeders and Producers in Przemęt – New crop protection methods and innovative solutions in livestock farming
On February 23, 2017, in Przemęt, in the Greater Poland Province, a training session organized by the feed company Sano was held for the Municipal Association of Cattle Breeders and Producers. Among the speakers was Łukasz Krawczyk, a representative of the sales department at Horizont Rolos, who discussed topics related to crop protection and new products in our company’s lineup.
Protecting crops from wild animals
One of the main points of Łukasz Krawczyk’s presentation was a discussion of effective methods for protecting crops from wild animals, particularly wild boars and deer, which cause significant losses for farmers. The topic generated considerable interest, as many breeders face the problem of wild animals damaging crops. Łukasz Krawczyk presented modern solutions, such as electric fences, which serve as an effective barrier against wild animals. He convinced participants that investing in such solutions can yield long-term benefits and significantly reduce losses associated with crop damage.
New Products in the Lineup – the Moocall System and Heat Detection Stickers
During the training, Łukasz Krawczyk also presented new products in the Horizont Rolos lineup, including the Moocall system and heat detection stickers. Most of the farmers who attended the event were unfamiliar with these products, but after hearing the presentation, interest in them definitely increased. The Moocall system is an innovative device that monitors the health and activity of cows, notifying the farmer of an impending calving. In turn, heat detection stickers are a simple yet highly effective tool for monitoring the estrus cycle in cattle.
Łukasz Krawczyk pointed out that both the Moocall system and the estrus stickers are investments that can significantly improve control over calving on farms, and their cost is not high at all compared to the benefits they provide. Training participants were eager to learn how these solutions can simplify the daily work of cattle farmers, increasing efficiency and improving animal welfare.
The training in Przemęt was an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences and showcase modern solutions in cattle farming and crop protection.
Event participants had the opportunity to learn about effective methods for protecting their farms from wild animals, as well as technological innovations that can significantly simplify work in cattle farming. Thanks to such meetings, farmers gained valuable information that will certainly help them improve the efficiency and protection of their farms.
